The Great Railway Network is a rail network connecting places around the Spawn. Anyone is allowed to expand the network or decorate it's stations.

The network currently consists of three lines, the Blue Line from East to West, the Red Line from North to South, and the Mushroom Line connecting the Red Line to Shaftville. At most stops there are minecart dispensers, feel free to take a minecart if you don't have one.

The Red Line

This Line currently Stretches from Mushroom Island, through spawn and ultimately Northlake Village. I has nine stops and intersects with the Blue Line at Central Station. Other notable Stations are The Spawn and Old Ardakazia. The Northern section of this line is very scenic, as the track is elevated above ground (see Image).

Active Red Line Stations (North to South):

  • Northlake Village
  • Dwarven Mines
  • The Spawn
  • Central Station (Platform 1, connects to Blue Line)
  • Southlands Farm
  • Old Ardakzia
  • Viking Village
  • Far South Station
  • Mooshroom Island

Other Information

The further South you go on the Red Line, you can see that you are leaving civilisation further and further behind: The side of the track becomes littered with holes, either from caves or desperate miners digging for resources, you pass more and more Ghost Stations, where the minecart doesn't stop and even after arriving at your station, you will have to walk further until you find settlements. The Mushroom Island Station at z2515 is the furthest that finished and active railways will take you from Spawn. The distance to spawn is outlined by the unusual landscape and sparse settlement. This line used to be on the server stretching from the mentioned z2515 all the way to z-637 (Northlake Village), which amounts to 3152 Blocks.

The Blue Line

The Blue Line consists of the main Light Blue Line, that Services all stations in an (approximate) line from West to East and the Dark Blue Line that currently skips a station in favour of a more scenic route. Close to spawn this line runs mostly underground at around y57, but newer additions, further from spawn, have varying heights from y35 to y79. In the underground sections there is often little to see except for the occasional underwater glass tunnel or short looks at large cave systems. Meanwhile the new overground sections to the West allow for a scenic view of mostly untouched landscapes. This line intersects with the Red Line at Central Station and with the Copper Line ( a series of Ghost Stations ) at the recently completed Kasuto Rail Junction

Active Blue Line Stations (West to East)

  • Journeys End
  • Snorp Station
  • Lond Daer (Hobbiton)
  • Lake Neverwhere
  • Moon River
  • Central Station (Platform 2)
  • Fairy Tale Castle
  • Dymond Mall
  • East Sea Lighthouse
  • Kasuto Junction
  • Eastern Lake
  • Pterodactyl Island
  • Kings Cave
  • GCorp (aka Eviltown)

Other Information

Hobbiton.

The West-most point of the line is currently Journeys End at x-2477 and the East-most point is the Kasuto Junction at x1267, which equates to 3744 blocks of track. Due to the recent expansion a few stations further from spawn don't have much development near them, you are free to settle and build near these stations.

The Blue Line will take you on a journey where you are greeted by cosy towns like Hobbiton or monuments and massive builds like the Fairy Tale Castle or the skyscrapers at Dymond Mall.

Incomplete Expansion

When arriving at Kasuto junction it is immediately clear that the track continues northward. If you continue on this track you come across multiple incomplete Ghost Stations. At Mooshroom Island, the south most station any visitor can see that there is another track that begins a few blocks down. This track will eventually take you to incomplete and unconnected stations for the towns Shaftville and Warrington.

Smaller Lines

The only small line is currently the Mushroom Line. This Line connects the (currently) south-most Red Line station Mooshroom Island to the towns and warps of Shaftville and Warrington. The Shaftville and Warrington stations were recently built and Shaftville station includes a lounge for travellers.

The Ghost Stations - The Copper Line

Even the New Ardakazia Station sign is confused about the Ghost Stations.

This line consists of multiple stations in different states of disrepair or construction. There are often no exits or nothing there upon leaving the station, this all adds to a traveller feeling lost and in the wrong place altogether. The most well known group of Ghost Stations is the incomplete Copper Line which starts at the Kasuto Rail Junction and ends in New Ardakazia. In-between these stops are stations that are either incomplete and abandoned or just in the middle of nowhere with no signs of civilisation. It is likely that these stations are a forgotten part of the Railway System, made obsolete by Elytra and Nether travel before they had even been finished.

More Shadow Stations?

Apart from the unfinished Copper Line there way more Ghost Stations. Many of the known stations are stations that either Red or Blue lines do not stop at and that you can see on your journey between stops. Other than these there are believed to be an unknown number of stations in different states of disrepair just waiting to be discovered.

Expansion

As stated in the beginning, players are always welcome to expand upon the existing rail infrastructure. There are rumoured to be plans to finish the Copper Line and fully integrate it into the Railway System. With the completion of Kasuto Junction an expansion of the Railway to connect to Eviltown is planned.
