ArdakazMC is a mostly vanilla server that has some features that set it apart from other servers. Here you can find a summary of what's different, what's unique and how we roll.

No claims

The unique feature on this server is that we don't have claims. We want to encourage players to cooperate, play together and visit each other's builds without the limitations of area claims.

Griefing is still very much not allowed and tightly moderated.

Grief protection

Instead of claims, we have plugins to log all blocks and track if someone else than the owner of the block touches them. Rest assured that all your builds will be safe and protected. If anyone damages them, we can easily do a rollback - and most of the time mods do that before you even notice anything wrong.

If you ever do need to report anything to the mods, you can /report it to the mods. See Reporting. If you urgently needs mods to help, type @Moderation ingame and mods will be pinged.

Disabled explosion grief

To make it even safer, all explosion damage to blocks in the overworld is disabled. This includes creepers, TNT and end crystals. The only exception is bed explosions in the nether, which is enabled.

Be warned that explosions still do damage to players.

Limited world size and world map

To keep the world relatively closely populated for a community feel, and to make sure any new biomed/blocks/structures that may be added in future updates will be within reachable distance, we have a limited world border. See Dynmap.

Unlimited dragon eggs

You may respawn and kill the end dragon as many times as you want. It always drops an egg, so dragon eggs are not a limited resource.

Custom recipes

Because of the limited world size, especially in the end and nether, it is possible to craft elytras and netherite smithing templates. See /recipe elytra and /recipe netherite_smithing_template ingame.

Another custom recipe we have is /recipe player_head.

No PVP

We're not a PVP server, and killing players is against the rules, so PVP is disabled. We do have some PVP arenas where you can have matches against other players but in the rest of the world we play in peace.

Ranks

To encourage engagement and committed gameplay, we have playtime based Ranks. You gain useful commands, new homes and even warps the higher you rise in ranks.

Afk time does not count towards ranking up, only active playtime and voting (/vote).

Craftbook

Craftbook is a plugin that has some useful automations. See Craftbook for more information.

Shopkeepers

We don't have economy plugins or server-side shops, but we have a shopkeeper plugin to help players make their own shops. See Shopkeepers for more info on how to use the shopkeepers and Spawn Mall for how to make your own shop at spawn.

Server difficulty

We get asked this a lot. The server difficulty is normal. No, we will not set it to hard to help with villager trades.

No keep inventory or back command

We don't want to make the game too easy. If you die and lose your stuff, you have to travel to retrieve it the old-fashioned way. Staff can't restore your inventory in case of accidents.

Exception: Keep inventory is enabled in the PVP arenas to prevent fights about loot.

Warps

Besides /spawn we have lots of player-made /warps around the world. Feel free to explore!

Other useful commands

Check out Commands to get a full understanding of the commands all players can use.

Staff

See the Staff page to find out how much staff we have, who they are and what their roles on the server are.

Donations

If you're wondering what the Donor and Patron player ranks are for, it's what you get for donating to the server. See Donations.
