Staff are people who keep the server running. They're all volunteers and don't get any gameplay perks.
Staff Positions
Management
There are three different management positions. They can technically do anything in the server.
- Admins are responsible for the technical side of the server and supervise the developers.
- Overseers manage the community side of the server and supervise the moderators.
- Owner has the greatest power over the server.
Moderation
Moderators enforce the rules. They can see grief alerts, repair grief and ban people. New moderators are called junior moderators.
Development
Developers help admins to code custom plugins and scripts for the server.
Requirements
Moderators
- 200 hours playtime
- Age 16+ (exceptions can be made for justified reasons)
- Friendly, responsible and helpful
- Able to deal with conflict and difficult people
- Can handle and learn Minecraft commands easily
- Able to work independently and make judgements on moderating decisions according to team guidelines
- No rule breaking or other bad behavior
- Fluent in English
- A Discord account is recommended
Developers
- 20 hours playtime
- Age 13+
- Interest in developing server plugins and scripts
- Knowledge of Java and Spigot API
Admins
- Experience as a developer
- 600 hours of playtime
- Demonstrated to be extremely trustworthy
- Knowledge of Linux shell
Overseers
- Experience as a moderator
- 600 hours of playtime
- Demonstrated to be extremely trustworthy
- Able to deal with all kinds of situations and people and work as a supervisor/teacher for moderators
Note that being part of the staff is volunteer work. There is no money or extra perks involved, and it’s not a position to seek for status either. We are looking for people who genuinely want to help and make the server run smoothly.
The workload is shared and light enough so that it’s possible to be a part of staff within normal playing hours.
How To Apply
To apply for staff, you need to make an application on the forum under Other Requests. Include in the application:
- Why do you want to join the staff
- Which role/position are you applying for
- If you fit the requirements
- What other skills do you have that are useful
- Do you have any specific ideas how to develop the server
